In this episode, listen to several students discuss their first day of school, without being in the school.
Yesterday was our first day of school for the 2022-2023 school year. So what do we do in Meeteetse for the first day - we go on an adventure of course.
We loaded up the busses and went to the forest. We had 7 different stations with activities. Students learned all about how to pack a horse, shoot arrows, be bear aware (and how to spray bear spray), they physics of zip-lines and ecology, identify plants of nature (scavenger hunt style), take a hike around the mountain, and study macro organism in the river.
We had so many great partners in this outing including the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Meeteetse Museums, Meeteetse Recreation District, Shane Kluesner, and many teachers and staff.
The day was beautiful for all of our activities.
